Among the top 10 qualifiers, Hamlin opens the Round of 12 in third place, with Busch sixth, Bell seventh, Chastain ninth and Keselowski 10th. William Byron, who is tied with Martin Truex Jr. for the lead entering this round, qualified 18th, with Truex starting from the 16th position.
Kyle Larson, fourth in the standings, begins the race in the 11th position. Eighth place Tyler Reddick starts from the 15th spot and Ryan Blaney, six points behind Reddick in 11th, will start 23rd.
A win by any of the 12 playoff drivers will qualify them for the Round of 8. Reddick won last fall's race at Texas, though the distance has been shortened from 500 miles to 400 this year. The event is 267 laps, with the first stage lasting 80 laps, the second 85 and the final stage picking up the last 102 trips around the track.
